Mixed media for me provides freedom of expression. I never really know whats going to be the end result. I like to use newspaper from whatever country I have in mind and sculpt everything onto the canvas or wood. It could be flowers someone gave to me, a note someone wrote, sketches, shells, old painting rags, photo's, sand from the beach, part of my shoe, sea weed...what ever fits with the given subject. It is unbelievably messy but a hell of a lot of fun. Its kind of scary the way the mind works when you let your imagination run wild. I enjoy hearing peoples interpretations of the end result. Everyone sees something different and identifies with different parts of the sculpture. The pictures are not designed to last an eternity but they are unique and no two could ever be alike......
